About Trip

An incomparable Annapurna Conservation Area is the first preserved and largest conservation area in Nepal. While the regular trekking route usually takes 15 to 20 days and the earliest part of trekking route has spoiled by bumpy road, we Nepal Trekking Experts offers Short Annapurna Circuit trek for those who have limited holiday, prefer to avoid the most crowded and bumpy part and still intend to explore the raw beauties of dramatic Annapurna circuit. The Annapurna Circuit Short Trekking comprises wide range of climatic zone, diverse of flora & fauna, cascading waterfalls, unspoiled mixed culture, majestic Himalayan range, the world highest pass Thorong La 5416m to the deepest Kali Gandaki gorge comparing two 8000m plus mountains like Dhaulagiri 8167m and Annapurna I 8091m.

After driving 10 hrs from Kathmandu, we reach Chame for an overnight from where the actual hiking commences in the next morning. The Annapurna Circuit Short Trek follows the Marsyangdi River to the north of the prime Himalayan range and crosses the breathtaking 5416 meter Thorong La from the sea level then rapidly descends into the dramatic desert-like Tibetan style scenery of upper Kali Gandaki valley. The hike passes picturesque villages home to Gurungs, Manangis and Thakalis, appeals spectacular mountain views of the numerous 7000m plus Annapurna & Dhaulagiri Himalaya and boasts some of the best trekking lodges in Nepal.

Day 01: Welcome at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to Hotel.

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Chame (2700 m, 10/11 hrs)

Day 03: Chame to Upper Pisang (3300 m, 5 hrs)

Day 04: Upper Pisang to Manang (3540 m, 6/7 hrs)

Day 05: Manang - Acclimatization day

Day 06: Manang to Yak Kharka (4110 m, 3/4 hrs)

Day 07: Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4450 m, 3/4 hrs)

Day 08: Thorong Phedi to Muktinath(3800 m) via crossing Thorong La Pass 5416 m. (8 hrs)

Day 09: Muktinath to Jomsom via stunning village Kagbeni (2600 m, 5 hrs)

Day 10: Jomsom to Pokhara by drive (9/10 hrs)

Day 11: Drive back to Kathmandu (7 hrs)

Useful Info

  • Respect the local culture.

  • For your own safety, always stay close to the walls when being passed by donkeys or porters on narrow trails.
