The Everest Base Camp Trek via Jiri will starts with a long public bus ride from Kathmandu or private car/jeep. Although the trail head from Jiri into Sagarmatha National Park is referred to as the classic route to Everest, the original trailhead began at Kathmandu. All early Everest expeditions including Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary on the summit passed through Jiri. So Jiri is also called the Gateway of the Mt. Everest.The trail to Lukla passes through classic Middle Hills country that is blissfully free from the crowds that mob the trails further north.
Even though the Everest Base Camp trek via Jiri begins at just 1790m Shivalaya, it climbs to 3530m at the Lamjura Bhanjyang, and drops as low as 1500m at the Dudh koshi crossing east of Nunthala. The best opportunities will be exploring lush vegetation, different shorts of crops, terrace, high passes such as Deaurali pas, Lamjura Pass, Taksindu Pass and more. Once you reach Lukla, you might feel completely different specially because of traffic. If you love peace, local settlement and more greenery than you will have great time in between Jiri to Lukla. Also it is massive opportunity to have better acclimatize to success your trip above 4000m. Onward we will start Sagarmatha National Park from Monjo then trail lead to Namche. Above Namche the landscape will abundantly change and offer such a towering mountain around of you such as Thamser Ku, Ama Dablam, Kangtega, Lhotse, Nuptse, Everest, Pumari, Cholatse etc. Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar might be dreaming destination of the entire trek. Day 03: Kathmandu to Shivalaya (1795m, 8-9 hrs)
Day 04: Shivalaya to Bhandar (1520m, 7-8 hrs)
Day 05: Bhandar to Sete (2500m, 7 hrs)
Day 06: Sete to Junbesi via Lamjura Pass 3530m (2675m, 7 hrs)
Day 07: Junbesi to Nuntala (2345m, 7 hrs)
Day 08: Nuntala to Khari Khola (2194m, 6 hrs)
Day 09: Khari Khola to Puiyan (2890m, 6 hrs)
Day 10: Puiyan to Phakding (2652m, 6 hrs)
Day 11: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m, 6hrs).
Day 12: Acclimatize day in Namche.
Day 13: Namche to Tengboche (3870m, 6hrs)
Day 14: Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m, 6hrs)
Day 15: Another acclimatize day.
Day 16: Dingboche to Lobuche (4940m, 6hrs).
Day 17: Lobuche to GorakShep (5180m), hike to Everest Base Camp 5364mand back to Gorakshep for overnight.
Day 18: Early morning hike to Kala Patthar (5545m, 2 hrs), then descend to Pheriche (4280m, 5/6).
Day 19: Pheriche to Namche(3440m, 7hrs).
Day 20: Namche to Lukla (2840m, 7hrs).
Day 21: Lukla to Kathmandu by flight then enjoy with final shopping, drinks, meal etc.
