Another most interesting thing is living Goddess Kumari(virgin lady) which is chosen from Buddhist family of one of the major cast Newar.
Monkey temple is lies on 4 kilometer west from central Kathmandu. There are couples of option to get in there. If you prefer to hike then it will offer 360 steep stairs to get on the top and other way we can get on by drive. Once you got in top then it will offer magnificent view of Kathmandu valley. Swayambhunath is a religious shrine of Buddhists. Buddhist Stupa, Monastery and a temple of Haratima where Buddhists and Hindus both worship together. It is one of the strongest examples of harmony in religion.
Pashupatinath is situated on 5 kilometer east from central part of Kathmandu which is known as one of the biggest god of Hindus and holiest sites from all over the world. Pashupati means Lord of animals. It is Pagoda style temple situated at the bank of the holy river Bagmati. You will have great opportunity to explore Hindus culture and live crimination at the bank of Bagmati River.
Bouddhanath is lies on 5km east from central Kathmandu which is known as one of the biggest Stupa of Asia. It has built on 5th century AD by Lichhavi king. During Buddha Jayanti(birth day of Buddha) on the full moon day and Lhosar festival, the pilgrims worship the Buddhist deities, light the incense and butter lamp day and night.
