Kopra Trek is just recently opened, less explored, less crowded, off the beaten trekking route of Annapurna region Nepal. The short and delightful Kopra Danda Trek is also popular as Kopra Ridge trek which starts from Nayapul, Pokhara. This is the perfect scenic trek to avoid crowded part of Annapurna region such as Annapurna circuit, Annapurna Base Camp etc. and let you enjoy with amazing nature and pure culture within limited holiday. After driving one hour and half from Pokhara, we reach at Nayapul then begin our real adventure hike. The Kopra Danda trek continues via Birethanti village where we first register our TIMS Card and Annapurna conservation area trekking permits. Within couple of days challenging hike we reach at Ghorepani. It offers one of the most well known and popular view point called Poon Hill 3210m. The Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Fishtail and many more countless beautiful peaks looks stunning with sun rise. Now days Poon Hill is also popular as Ghorepani/Poon Hill sun rise trek.
After Breakfast the trail leads us Tadapani via amazing lush jungle walk. Onward from Tadapani we embark newly opened less crowded part of the trek passing by dense of Rhododendron trees and some Yak pasture towards to Bayeli Kharka. If we are trekking in spring season, we encounter just colorful jungle by Nepalese national flower Rhododendron. Gradually it takes us above tree line and offers spectacular Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalaya range as close as possible. Kopra Danda will invite us another beautiful side trip to sacred lake of Hindu people called Khayar Lake which adds extra value on this trip. It is one of the best view points of this region, equally popular for sunrise without doubt and let us stands 3660m elevation from the sea level. Then we descend to Tatopani village where we can have another unique experience of natural hot spring. Tatopani is the main trekking route of Jomsom/Muktinath. After collecting life time memory, we will drive back to lakes city Pokhara.
The best time for Kopra Ridge trek is March, April, May and September, October and November of the year. However we still can trek rest of the months which let you experience more peace, establish better connection with locals and provides pure experience. Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara drive by tourist bus (820m, 7 hrs)
Day 04: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhe Dhunga (1495m, 5 hrs)
Day 05: Tikhe Dhunga to Ghorepani (2850m,7 hrs)
Day 06: Hike to Poon Hill (3210m) to explore panoramic Himalaya vistas with immense of sun rise then trek to Tadapani (2500m, 5/6 hrs)
Day 07: Tadapani to Bayeli Kharka (3437m, 6 hrs)
Day 08: Bayeli Kharka to Chistibang (3026m, 4 hrs)
Day 09: Chistbang to Kopra Danda (3660m, 3/4 hrs)
Day 10: Side trip to explore Hindu’s sacred Lake named Khayar Lake and mesmerizing towering Himalaya surroundings.
Day 11: Kopra Danda to Tatopani (1190m, 6 hrs)
Day 12: Tatopani to Pokhara drive by public bus (5/6hrs)
Day 13: Leisure day in naturally rich city Pokhara
Day 14: Pokhara to Kathmandu drive by tourist bus 7 hrs.

Kathmandu to Pokhara drive by tourist Bus(7hrs). Then have a short sightseeing around the naturally beauty city Pokhara, Phewa Lake.
After breakfast we drive by private vehicle towards to Nayapul from where our actual hiking starts and leads to beautiful village Birethanti. We will encounter couple of check points to register our Tims cards and Annapurna conservation area permits. Then we will take a left and head to Tikhedhunga passing by some waterfalls, rice, millet, maize farming according to season and local settlement. If we have time and energy, we can hike up to Ulleri village 1960m which offers beautiful glimpse of Annapurna South 7219m and Hiunchuli 6441m.
While we cross the suspension bridge then we will start to ascend more than 3000 stairs gradually. After couple of our ascending, the way will lead through massive natural beautiful forest and some waterfalls. If you are trekking in spring season, then you will have great opportunity of exploring blooming colorful Rhododendron forest during this trek. Ghorepani is situated at the open place which will offer magnificent mountain vistas including 8000m plus Dhaulagiri and Annapurna first.
Today is one of the massive days of the trek. Early morning we will hike Poon Hill 3210m to explore beautiful Sunrise and stunning views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalaya range. Then back to tea house and trek to Tadapani. On the way to Tadapani it will offer such a beautiful scenic Himalaya range and amazing forest where we will have great opportunities to explore some flora and fauna too. Tadapani is also known as a great view point of Annapurna south, Hiuchuli and Fishtail mountains.
After breakfast the trail leaves regular route of Annapurna then leads newly opened and less crowded Kopra region. During our hike, we will encounter mix of trail like up and down then offers amazing Rhododendron forest which ultimately takes us stunning view point Bayeli Kharka. We will have great opportunity of exploring massive views of Annapurna South and Dhaulagiri 8167m which is also known as seventh highest peaks in the planet.
This is one of the short and beautiful day of the trek which takes us cleared and open sky at the wilderness.
The trail will ascend continuously and we will be greeted by magnificent views of Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Dhampus Peak and many more countless Himalaya vistas surroundings. Khopra Danda is also known as beautiful spot of sun rise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalaya range which let us stand not less than natural paradise at Kopra Danda (Ridge).
This is one of the most waited day of the entire trip standing at 4600m just with spectacular Himalaya surroundings as close as possible and exploring 360 degree massive mountain vistas just around of you. The Khayar lake is known as holy lake of Hindu people and at Janai Purnima (full moon day) of August is the specific date of ceremony. Because of sacred lake it is equally popular for local pilgrims as well. The side trip will put extra value on this trip and let us life time memory.
The trail will descend all the way to Tatopani (hot water) village and arrives major trekking route of Jomsom Muktinath. This is another crucial day where you can have natural hot spring at the bank of Kaligandaki River which starts from Upper Mustang. The experience at natural hot spring might be beyond your expectation.
After taking breakfast, our journey starts experiencing by local bus towards to Naturally beautiful city Pokhara which might the best spot to spend at least couple of night after such an adventure journey.
